Associates, Inc. formerly Alternative Sentencing Consultants, Inc. is a
consulting firm providing services to attorneys and their clients in
Federal and State courts. The firm works directly with defense counsel
on a national basis assessing and evaluating a case, assisting in
preparing strategies prior to plea negotiations, plea agreements and/or
the sentencing hearing. The firm investigates the client’s background
and the facts of the case presenting mitigation information to the
courts through written memoranda. Mitigation memoranda assist defense
counsel in presenting arguments in behalf of their clients in support of
downward departures and alternatives to incarceration. The firm also
provides expertise in prison policy and prison advocacy.
